Welsh opera singer, author and Creative entrepreneur Mark Llewelyn Evans trained at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama & the National Opera Studio, London. For over 25 years Mark has worked alongside many major names in the entertainment industry including Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, David Blaine & Sir Bryn Terfel. His career has taken him throughout the world singing title roles in international opera houses, a blockbuster movie as well as singing ‘Bread of Heaven’ before The Six Nations Rugby tournament to a crowd of 75,000.
Mark’s debut album topped the UK classical charts, and his charity single, ‘Tell my Father’ performed with the Band of the Welsh Guards became a number one in the UK, benefitting the Welsh Guards Afghanistan Appeal. In 2015 Mark decided to take his passion for opera further with ABC of Opera and reach out to the next generation. ABC of opera delivers invaluable life-lessons to children through a lively exploration of the lives and music of the world’s greatest composers, building confidence, celebrating difference and encouraging creativity.
ABC builds a relationship with the children that supports and educates them in a remarkable way. It is the scaffolding for education.
